ASSESSMENTS AND EXAMINATIONS

Assessments/Examinations will be offered each year for Ballet from Pre-Primary onwards. Jazz & Contemporary exams are available on request.

The aim of assessments/examinations is to give the students:

- a goal to work towards,

- positive feedback and recognition of the qualities in each child.

 

Assessment vs Examination

ASSESSMENTS are in a class situation in the presence of the examiner with the teacher conducting the class. The teacher is able to prompt the students as in class. In assessments students do not receive an overall grading/mark as they do in examinations. They are a good way to introduce students to an exam situation.

 

EXAMINATIONS students receive a certificate & report with accomplishment levels in each part of the class ticked off. They are conducted with the presence of the examiner and maximum of 3 fellow students only (4 in total)
